In addition to free game updates, Old World regularly gets new paid downloadable content (DLC), adding scenarios, playable Nations, Events, and game mechanics. These DLCs are listed below, in order of release

Heroes of the Aegean[edit]

Heroes of the Aegean, released in May 2022, adds a campaign of five new scenarios centered around the rise and fall of Alexander the Great. It also adds a new Nation, Hatti, and unlocks new Dynasties for Greece.

The Sacred and the Profane[edit]

The Sacred and the Profane, released in January 2023, adds new events and characters centered around religion, as well as minor game mechanics relating to these events.

Pharaohs of the Nile[edit]

Pharaohs of the Nile, released in October 2023, adds a campaign of five new scenarios centered around the history of ancient Egypt. It also adds a new Nation, Kush, which comes with a set of different playable Dynasties.

Wonders and Dynasties[edit]

Wonders and Dynasties, released in January 2024, adds eight new Wonders to the pool, for a total of 24, and adds new Dynasties for each Nation.

Behind the Throne[edit]

Behind the Throne, released in May 2024, adds new events and characters centered around intrigue and power struggles, as well as minor game mechanics relating to these events.

Wrath of Gods[edit]

Wrath of Gods, released in March 2025, adds a natural disaster mechanic and events surrounding these natural disasters. These natural disasters are the highlight of a new scenario, Wrath of Gods, in which the player must survive while holding off Tribes and appeasing the gods. It also adds a new Nation, Aksum, which comes with a set of different playable Dynasties.
