Victory is the ultimate goal of any game of Old World. Each Nation attempts to win by meeting one of the game's five Victory conditions, listed below.

Victory Conditions[edit]

  1. Ambition Victory: Complete 10 Ambitions. AI players cannot win Ambition Victories.
  2. Point Victory: Reach the Victory Point threshold, which depends on the map size and number of city sites.
  3. Conquest Victory: Eliminate all other Nations.
  4. Time Victory: Have the highest Victory Point total after 200 turns.
  5. Double Victory: Have twice as many Victory Points as any other Nation, AND at least half the threshold for Point Victory.
