A resource is a naturally-occurring feature of a tile, such as gold or horses, that improves its yields and potentially allows unique improvements to be built on that tile, such as a Pasture. Resources may be harvested by Scouts, Workers, and Settlers for a small burst of yields if they are not within city borders, and provide a small per-turn yield, even if unimproved, if they are within city borders. Resources have the potential to massively increase the value of a given City Site, and may be further exploited by Family abilities, such as the Hunters' +100% yields on Camps.
